Many people have not yet realised the potential of coloured pencils and the beautiful results they can yield. I love the vivid colours and detail that can be achieved with them and that is why it is my chosen medium. The process is very satisfying and I love seeing an animal come to life on my drawing board.

Coloured pencil drawing is also a very slow medium and all the colour mixing is done on the paper. Colours are built up over many hours using layer upon layer of pencil. An average portrait can take 30/40 hours or more. This is why I use only high quality artist grade pencils and top quality acid free papers so that your portrait will be a treasured piece for many years to come.
